Samsung Phones Get Their Sixth Google Play System Update in Just Three Months

Samsung Galaxy users are seeing yet another Google Play System update arrive on their devices.

According to reports, the newest release carries the May 2026 Google Play System patch and is approximately 98MB in size on some devices.

This marks the sixth Google Play System update distributed to Samsung phones within the last three months.

Unlike traditional Android firmware updates, Google Play System updates target modular components of Android through Project Mainline.

This allows Google to deliver security fixes, reliability improvements and new functionality without waiting for manufacturers to release full software updates.
